Ah, tits.

They say you don't miss it till it's gone.

My little Belkin Wi-Fi point has gone, and so I'm typing this on the old beige G3 in the studio, rather than on a sofa or in bed.

The ironic thing is that, when I realised it was broken, the first thing I did was reach for the powerbook to search out a replacement...

Bad luck.
My homebuilt Linux box wifi access point stopped working after two years for no apparent reason t'other day, and after a couple of desultory efforts to fix it I gave up and bought an Airport extrem base station - mainly because I'm now an Apple evangelist after years of being a PC person.
Lyn likes it so much ('it's gorgeous!') she's allowing it upstairs in the living room.

Whoops - my post doesn't make sense now, because I wrote it, then left it for an hour, then posted it. Glad you've fixed it - nothing beats the freedom of wireless laptops.
